Mental Health Awareness Week is in May. It is a time for exams for students, and it might be a time to finish specific projects for entrepreneurs and business people, so the pressure is out there. Mental health is not defined by a season, though spring could be a fabulous time to improve wellbeing.
What would be vital to share with students about Mental Health and how to support young people after the COVID restrictions and during the exam period. I think it would be applicable to business people, entrepreneurs and students. We can address crucial areas to sustain mental health and to enhance performance.
Three vital areas:
- Confidence.
The simple realisation that confidence is a feeling, which can be changed, improved and enhanced may encourage your actions.

2. Resilience strategy.
Physical resilience and mental resilience are interconnected; we are sophisticated beings – our mind and body can support each other or just cause damage.
For physical resilience – enjoy spring, go outside, be close to nature, and embrace the beautiful world.
For mental resilience – pay attention to how your mind works, check if you make any thinking errors and adjust them. More about resilience here: https://kogancoaching.com/developing-resilience/
3. Choice.
This notion is extremely powerful when you realise that in any given situation you have a choice.
Nobody can tell it better than V. Frankl:
“Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms—to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.”
Confidence, resilience, and choice are three important areas for mental health. Confidence, resilience, and choice are three cornerstones for decision-making, creativity, happy and productive life. Get your personal strategy, it is as important as breathing for your success in any area of your life.
